David Álvarez y Juego de Manos
In 1994, David Álvarez creates a project with a group of young art school graduates, calling it “Juego de Manos”.
The format for “Juego de Manos” allows this band to perform a wide array of popular genre, such as: danzones, congas, rural Cuban music, guaguancó, boleros, sones, guarachas. Therefore, they have a vast, multi-genre repertoire; some are played by international stars such as Willy Chirino with their song “BONGO”.
David Álvarez y Juego de Manos is no longer a simple project and has transformed, renovating traditional concepts of Cuban music without losing the best of their roots.
